The world's biggest ice luge - Franz Josef Glacier

Climbing into an ice cave
A kea in the wild, these crazy alpine parrots spend time on the ice
The glowing blue glacier
Franz Josef Glacier

Although, probably not the world's biggest ice luge, Franz Josef Glacier is still a pretty impressive block of ice just the same. A beautiful glowing blue, climbing the glacier equipped with boots, talonz, and a full external layer of gortex was a lot of fun. Although 5-6 hours of climbing on ice is hard work, the chance to experience the majestic magnitude of this dynamic ice cube is an amazing reward in and of itself, plus the views were great. Now where did I put that vodka.
