Cricket
The other day I managed to catch up with an old travel buddy of mine from Europe 2003. We met up with some of his mates at Melbourne Cricket Grounds to watch the second day of a cricket match, Australia v. South Africa. It was the second day of your typical five day match, yes a single cricket match lasts full five days from 10AM to 6PM (and I thought baseball games were long). The day was basically spent basking in the sun and talking. It was an excellent cultural experience as I learned about cricket, and gained a deeper understanding of the Australian obsession with the BBQ.
The scoreboard, it should read something like 9 outs, Australia 344 - South Africa (not up to bat yet)
