Kaituna River - Grade V White Water Rafting
Wanting a bit of serious actions, I decided to give white water rafting a try. Crazy as a nut, I decided my first rafting trip ever should be down the Kaituna River, a grade V rapid (fastest, most difficult and most dangerous raftable), and home of the worlds biggest commercially rafted waterfall, a 7-meter drop.In spite of going down some crazy rapids that spun us around and being flipped and thrown by the 7-meter waterfall, I was sorely disappointed. Everyone else in all of the rafts were excited as could be, but I was expecting so much more from a grade V. Next time, I think I'll spend my money on zorbing, or better yet canyoning.
